IYE Student and Parents felicitated at RCBJ meet

Long term IYE student Davin Carmen Böckel from Germany has been hosted by Rotarioan from our RC BarodaJawharnagar for last one year . He and his parents were invited to the Installation ceremony of President Rtn. Girish Dhar on 7th July 26. They were felicitated by the DG and club. Rtn Carmen Böckel and Thorsten Böckel had a warm reception by club members and exchanged information about their country of residence.

Birds adoption Project

In a major collaborative effort toward environmental sustainability, all Rotary Clubs of Baroda jointly organized the "Birds Adoption Project 2026" at the Sayaji Baug Zoo on 16th July 2026. The initiative highlights ongoing commitment to wildlife conservation and ecological balance.The event was inaugurated by the Dy Municipal Commissioner, Mr. V. M. Rajput. Leadership from Rotary District 3060 was led by DG Rtn. Nilesh Shah and First Lady Shruti Shah. The ceremony was attended by PDG, AG's, Club Presidents, Secretaries, and Rotarians alongside press and media.The RC of Baroda Jawaharnagar adopted a pheasant for Rs. 6,000, sponsored by the Club President. The club's President Rtn. Girish Dhar, Hon. Sec. Vivek Duggal, Service Chair PP Rtn. Hemang Vahia, and Rtn. Ashok Sarda & Mr Gafoor. All attendees were administered a formal oath dedicating themselves to environmental protection. This collective pledge underscored the community's responsibility to protect local biodiversity

RCBJ joins VMC for polio drive - Divya Bhaskar

On Sunday, on 28 June RCBJ helped the VMSS with providing 40 taxis for all the 40 health centres of our city for polio vaccination. These vehicles were used for conveyance of health professionals from their respective location to the vaccination centres such as UCHC, aanganwadis & government schools. Across Vadodara, more than 1,96,000 children under the age of 5 years benefitted from this by being provided with oral polio vaccine. RCBJ supports polio vaccination drive of VMC for the past 20 consecutive years.
